Course Objectives - On completing this course delegates will be able to:- |

| Describe the additional features included in Windows 2003 server. Describe the active directory structure including domains, forests, trees, sites, global catalog servers and operations masters. Install and customise Dynamic DNS and DHCP servers to support active directory Install Windows 2003 server and promote a server to a domain controller Customise MMC consoles Plan, Create, Manage, Locate and Move Active Directory objects Manage and plan share permissions for disks Add and connect to printers over the LAN and via the Internet Printing Protocol Implement a group policy structure for Active Directory and control inheritance Use Administrative templates and logon scripts to control the user environment Deploy, update and manage software deployment using Group policies. Use Security templates to enforce a common security policy. Plan and set-up a Dfs fault tolerant file tree Install and customise a software update service server (WSUS) Describe the troubleshooting tools available for Windows 2003 and recover from an accidentally deleted Active Directory tree. |
