This is an in-depth, specialised course, designed specifically for IT professionals that need to install, configure, tune, troubleshoot and maintain servers running Windows 2003 Terminal Services. The course covers the major pitfalls encountered when deploying terminal services and includes lots of practical sessions. It also serves and an excellent grounding for the Citrix Presentation Server course.

Course Prerequisites

Delegates should have an understanding of the Windows 2003 server and Active Directory. Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking would also be advantageous

Describe the benefits of Terminal Services over basic Windows 2003 clients and the new features included in 2003 server
State the hardware requirements for Terminal server and carry out basic capacity planning
Install and configure a Windows 2003 Terminal Server and customise the terminal server for maximum stability and performance.
Understand and configure terminal services group policy settings
Lock down a terminal sever using group policy loop-back processing
Understand and configure server connection settings 
Install and customise the Remote desktop client, the UNIX client and the web based Active X client.
