Course Aims
The aim of this course is to enable the delegate to work with the DOS 6.22 operating system. The course includes installation, writing batch files and using advanced features such as disk compression and loading drivers into memory.

Course Prerequisites
Delegates attending this course should have reasonable keyboard skills and a basic understanding of computer terminology i.e. disks, memory, booting etc.

Course Objectives
After this course delegates will be able to:-

Describe the DOS operating system and FAT file system.

Set-up and install the DOS operating system and use the FDISK utility

Display, copy, create, move, rename, and delete files and directories.

Format disks and copy files.

Use the Editor program
Understand the booting process, create bootable floppy disks, and boot the computer.

Configure computers with the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files.

Compare the types of memory in a DOS-based system, view their memory configuration, and load TSR programs.

Use the Microsoft Diagnostics, Microsoft Anti-Virus, ScanDisk, DEFRAG, and Drivespace utilities.
