Delegates will need to understand basic UNIX commands and file editing or have attended the Introduction to UNIX course or the RedHat 8.0 course. |

Start, stop and control the Web Server Install and set-up a basic Web server on UNIX Install and use various graphical administration tools Set-up Virtual IP and Name based servers Install and set-up Apache as a Proxy Server Use mandatory and discretionary server security Set-up customised activity log files Customise the Apache server error messages Load and use Apache Modules Use server side includes, CGI and Perl scripts to create web pages with dynamic content Set-up a fault tolerant Apache server farm using Round Robin DNS Tune and Trouble-shoot an Apache Server installation |
