Delegates attending this course should have a good understanding of the DOS, UNIX, Windows NT or 2000 and Windows 95 operating systems as well as general networking knowledge.

Course Objectives
After this course delegates will be able to:-

Describe the TCP/IP addressing scheme and for a given network, be able to select an appropriate Network address and subnet mask

Use the common TCP/IP utility programs to troubleshoot a TCP/IP problem

Troubleshoot a network with duplicate IP addresses and duplicate hardware addresses

State the main TCP/IP files and state what each file is used for

Describe the RIP protocol and be able to install and configure a mixed operating system network to route TCP/IP packets

Install and configure the DHCP protocol

Install and configure TCP/IP printing.
