Who should attend this course?

Delegates will be able to plan, manage and administer a Windows 2000 network, set-up active directory and control client systems using group policy

Course Prerequisites

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of Windows 2000 or have attended either the supporting Windows 2000 course or
the Windows 2000 M.C.P. course. An in-depth knowledge of Windows NT4 would also suffice.

Course Objectives - On completing this course delegates will be able to:-

Describe the three administrative models used in planning Active Directory delegation
Customise MMC consoles
Plan, Create, Manage, Locate and Move Active Directory objects
Implement a group policy structure for Active Directory and control inheritance
Use Administrative templates and logon scripts to control the user environment
Deploy, update and manage software deployment using group policies
Use Security templates to enforce a common security policy
Plan and set-up a Dfs fault tolerant file tree
Describe the troubleshooting tools available for Windows 2000 and recover from an
accidentally deleted Active Directory tree.
