Course Objectives - On completing this course delegates will be able to:- |

The aim of this course is to enable the delegate to install, set-up, tune and
maintain servers and clients running Windows 2000 Terminal Services. Delegates
will also be able to carry out system administration, lock down the Terminal
Server desktop and install and set-up
applications.
Duration 2 days Course Prerequisites Delegates should have an understanding of the Windows 2000 server and Active Directory. Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking would also be advantageous. |
Describe the benefits of Terminal Services over basic Windows 2000 clients Describe the Terminal Server architecture Install and configure a Windows 2000 Terminal Server State the hardware requirements for Terminal server and carry out basic capacity planning Understand Terminal server and client licensing Install and customise the thin client software Add and customise users and groups Set-up clients on a variety of operating systems Lock down the terminal server for thin client users using group policy loop-back mode processing Set-up and monitor Client and Server printing Tune the Terminal server for maximum performance Set-up network load balancing for thin clients over multiple servers Install and set-up Terminal Server applications for thin clients |
